Why is School Run only available on CD ROM? Is installation difficult? Our school has special requirements, can you offer additional functionality? Why don't you offer a link to commercial accounts packages? Is School Run available for the Macintosh? Will School Run work on a network? What are the capacity limits of School Run? I need the user screens and help files in my local language, can you help? Why is School Run only available on CD ROM? School Run is a relational database. The installation assumes that you do not have any of the office components required to operate a relational database available on your computer and the installation disk contains all of the components you need. On installation School Run checks your system for existing components and installs only the components you need (typically 8-10 mgb) but the disk package is much bigger.Even with a broad band connection downloading takes a long time. Top Is installation difficult? No. School Run comes with an installer. Just follow the screen prompts. Top Our school has special requirements, can you add functionality at an economic cost? Usually yes but, it depends on your exact requirements. School Run is designed to make the installation of extra functionality generally easy (and economic). Money paid on deposit for enhanced software will be held in a client account pending your acceptance testing of the new software and is returnable if, for any reason, we are unable to meet the specification in terms of functionality or timetable. There are just too many packages and technologies for it to be commercially possible for our small company. School Run has not been tested on the Macintosh. Top Will School Run function on a network? Yes but bear in mind that records in use are locked to other users until they are completed and closed. Top What are the capacity limits of School Run? Capacity is limited only by the size of your hard disk. There are no practical limits to the numbers of courses and clients that can be processed. Top I need the user screens and help files in my local language, can you help? Sorry we do not have the skills in house to do the translation. If you are prepared to translate all of the user screens, help files and these three web pages to your local language we will install the translated version on your system free of charge.
